About Me
Who I am
I’m a passionate instructional designer with 7+ years of experience. Originally, I come from the Netherlands with a background in teaching and a master's degree in Instructional Design. In 2019, my husband and I moved to the USA, and we have been living here ever since.
I choose to continuously challenge my body and mind. Besides instructional design, I’m interested in UX design and generative AI. Currently, I’m following the Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design course from Google, besides working out, painting, and cooking.
What I can offer
As an instructional designer I research, plan, design, develop and implement learning experiences, ranging from a single deliverable to complete learning paths and programs. Writing content or creating effective assessments, it should all be fitted to the audience and resources available.
I’ve done this in a corporate setting for the last 2,5 years and before that for 5 years as an academic teacher. In both settings I’ve used ADDIE and SAM as iterative design processes and data to drive my decision making to create performance based training and improve learning outcomes.
On top of that I’m an effective community/team builder, I will ask for and provide constructive feedback and introduce you to new music along the way.
